Theatre

The Theatre is used for Local and Touring Stage productions, eisteddfods, conferences, presentations, meetings and product launches.

The Theatre seats 400 people in total and is set with a permanent rake seating and an air cooling system* (*please note that this system cannot be operated when haze machines are required in the production). There is a removable orchestra pit in-front of the stage or alternatively a thrust stage can be built in-front of the stage. The Theatre has an integral sound system that is suitable for most productions.

There are 2 large dressing rooms, 2 small dressing rooms and 2 additional rooms behind the stage with toilet and shower facilities. A scene dock is situated at the rear of the stage, due to the number of bookings, storage is only available a few days either side of productions.

Wheelchair access is available to all areas of the Theatre including the stage and dressing rooms. It is recognised that some disabled people may require an essential companion to enable them to attend an event. Provided that the disabled person is registered with the Culture and Leisure Assisted Access scheme for most productions the carer will be entitled to a free ticket.

The Theatre is fitted with a hearing loop.
